CASI Timeline.

This project is funded through the AgriAssurance Program under the Canadian Agricultural Partnership (the Partnership), a five-year federal-provincial-territorial initiative. The funding for the Canadian Agri-food Sustainability Initiative is provided to achieve the activities, to the right.

June 2020

Form Governance Committee consisting of dynamic, diverse stakeholders in the agriculture and agri-food sector with a sustainability focus from across Canada.

December 2020 - April 2021

Conduct 100+ national, industry wide interviews.

By March 2023

Host 4-6 workshops to bring together expertise in agricultural sustainability.

By March 2023

Develop a self-sustaining organizational plan and governance model for the Canadian Agri-food Sustainability Initiative.

August 2021 - June 2022

Develop Platform Prototype and conduct Pilot Project 1.

June 2022 - December 2022

Refine Platform based on pilot project 1 feedback from producers and conduct pilot project 2.

December 2022 - March 2023

Update platform and based on pilot project 2 feedback from producers and prepare for industry launch.

March 2023

Launch CASI Platform for Canadian Agri-food sector stakeholders.
